As legit as it gets. I've only come here for the baked goods, droolworthy. Sweet, savory, and for $1 each, you can't beat it. I've been here for lunch and I haven't experienced any crazy lines as other reviewers have. The buns come out piping hot and soft, and the staff is always nice when I ask which are which. Almost everyone in here is Chinese which speaks to the authenticity of this place - I don't think there are any bakeries in NYC that compare to the taste and value.

The other lunch specials (meats on rice, some noodles) look a bit sketchy to me but I promise myself I will try them soon.

No frills spot, there is some seating but I would recommend getting it to go. Cash only. DO IT.

Came here for the lunch special. $7.50 for roast duck, bok choy and tofu over rice. I get that it's fast Chinese food, but everything was so greasy and thick (like corn starch added). Wasn't very good. The duck also had literally no meat, it was all bone. Wouldn't recommend.

So I think the place is gone and went under new ownership. It's now called Fu Xing. The food is disgusting. Run away as fast as you can! We got the duck and chicken rice combo plate, and beef chow foon. Mediocre pieces of meat and not fresh. DO NOT GO HERE!!! It's so gross!!

Literally cannot be beat. 5 star go to old Chinese person lunch/breakfast spot at the edge of the garment district. This is my go to breakfast spot when I have to get out at the PABT in the morning. I try to pick up breakfast for my coworkers who go nuts over the tasty sweet and savory baked breakfast items.  Flavors are classic Chinatown bakery, like old school, no cutting corners unlike a lot of the BS spots these days. The cooks and bakers must be from Hong Kong to do this so well and so inexpensively.  The lunch items are legit as well!

Very affordable and quick stop shop for Chinese food in midtown! I came by hoping to try the lunch special (any 3 dishes with white or fried rice), but came just after the special ended. I believe it's 11am-2pm daily. Regardless, I ordered the mi fun and broccoli beef to go. The order was ready in under 10 minutes and the boxes were stuffed full. The noodles were my favorite and I was surprised at how much non-noodle items were in there. The broccoli beef was pretty standard for any Asian takeout place. I also ordered a bbq pork bun that was just ok, not stellar. Overall I would definitely come back here for the convenience and affordability.
